Medical residents performing 24-hour on-call shifts are subjected to a number of conditions that could negatively affect their overall well-being, including sleep deprivation and stress. In this study, we aimed to determine whether these conditions increased the risk of headache-related disability, specifically in medical residents who are newly trained to manage such patients. We asked residents to complete questionnaires that measured headache-related disability, such as the Migraine Disability Assessment Scale (MDAS), the Headache Impact Test, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, as well as to assess their stress levels and hospital anxiety and depression scores, compared to baseline.

A good tip for this is to keep yourself in a positive mindset. Then, remember to get enough sleep!
